The kingdom of God doesn't always seem like much. The Holy Spirit works through the Gospel, but the results aren't always what we'd like or hope for them to be. And yet, we remain confident that the Gospel grows, the Holy Spirit works, and the kingdom of God expands.
Jesus defeats the devil and offers forgiveness only through himself.
The law shows us our sin and our desperate need for a savior. The law’s threats sometimes stop us from doing what we know is wrong. The law is also a guide in living a life of thankfulness. God’s law is not drudgery for a Christian; it is a blessing for us.
There is only one God, the Triune God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - in whom there is forgiveness, life, and salvation.
