Anything that gets int he way of Christ is a "loss" to us, because it harms faith. Gaining Christ means knowing him and knowing that his resurrection is our source of confidence.
"His Cross and Ours"
Jesus makes it clear the the way of salvation includes suffering - suffering in which we deny self, confident that God has already given us everything we need.
"By Grace Through Faith"
God gives away the righteousness all people need through faith in Jesus.
"Struggle to Repent"
The First Commandment. We see in Abraham's example our own glaring failures to fear, love, and trust in God above all things, yet the Lord provides forgiveness for us.
