The call to faith shows God’s hidden power. Many reject it. For others, God’s call not only invites, but also creates the faith to do it. God calls, “Believe!” and the Word creates faith.
"Baptism Reveals God's Power"
Jesus is revealed as the Christ (the anointed one) at his baptism as he was anointed by the Holy Spirit. In your baptism, the power of God was at work too, drowning your sinful self and raising to life a new self.
"Revealed to the Called"
How many people see the Savior and perceive his glory? What is glorious about an infant being smuggled to Egypt for safety? The glory is this: our Savior, even as an infant, was unstoppable on his path to the cross for us.
"Ready to Receive"
Mary received shocking and surprising news, and readily accepted God's change-of-direction for her life. We can too, because we have the same God and the same faith that Mary had - faith in God's Son, our Savior.
